Win a Whitsunday Holiday with Sunsail

Just by attending the Club Marine Sail Boat Show you have the chance to win a 5-night Bareboat Charter Holiday with Sunsail in the Whitsunday's.
Sail the stunning Whitsundays for 5 glorious days aboard a three double cabin, 35ft (or similar) yacht. Your yacht will be able to accommodate up to 3 couples in 3 double cabins. The value of the prize is in excess of $3,000.
Upon arrival you will receive an entry form which needs to be placed in the barrel at the Sunsail booth located at the entry to the Boat Show Alley Pavilion.

Come Try Sailing

If you ever wanted to try sailing then now is your chance. All show visitors will have the opportunity to try sailing.  "Ozi Opti" will be offering children the chance to sail in Optimist Dinghy style boats.  Yachting Victoria will be present at the show and they will be offering sailing in their access dinghy boats. These boats are great for mum or dad to take their kids out for a sail in a sheltered area of the Docklands precinct.  The Sandringham Yacht Club Boat Academy (SYCBA) will be at the show and they will be offering Adults and children to try sailing in Optimist and Pacer style boats.  The Acdemy also offers "Learn to Sail" courses in 7.5m Beneteau boats.

Melbourne Osaka Double-Handed Yacht Race 2007

Waterfront City will come alive from March 16th - March 25th for the Melbourne Osaka Boat Week.  Competitors in the race will berth at Waterfront City from March 16th and competing yachts will be on display during the Club Marine Sail Boat Show.  The Melbourne Osaka Boat Week also includes a come try sailing weekend 17-18 March, school excursions, a Osaka Cultural festival and much more.  For full details on the race and the Melbourne Osaka Boat Week visit www.osakacup.com

Fashion Parades & Safety Demonstrations

The Waterfront City Stage will feature a number of Safety demonstrations and also fashion parades.

Entertainment for the Whole Family

Live entertainment and kids amusements including face painting will be a daily feature. The show will also feature model yachts on the water.

Boating Building Competition

Students from local schools build boats from scratch equipped with wood and cloth. Once the boats are built they race against each other to see which boat stays afloat the longest.

Food & Beverage

The Melbourne Docklands can cater for everyone’s needs with several restaurants only minutes from the show.  The precinct is home to a wide range of fully licensed restaurants, a food court, bakery and supermarket.

Patron Lou Abrahams

Sail Boat Show patron Lou Abrahams is a legend in the sailing world. He has competed in 43 Sydney to Hobart ocean races including winning the Ocean Classic in 1983 and again in 1989.
In International competition Lou was a member of Australia's winning Kenwood Cup team in 1985 and has represented Australia in the Admirals Cup. He has twice been Australian Yachtsman of the year. Lou is a gentleman with a passion for sailing. We are proud to have him as the Patron of the Club Marine Sail Boat Show.

General information

The general information booth is located at the Sail Boat Show Alley Pavilion entrance. ATM facilities are located next to the food court at Waterfront City.  A number of toilets are located within the show area.
